Plummer, a 31-year veteran of
commercial real estate, joins
G&E from Cushman & Wakefield
Inc., where for 21 years he was a
member of the capital markets
group. He has completed more
than 100 transactions valued in
excess of $5 billion.

Marcus & Millichap Names Stein
Regional Manager of LA Office
Los Angeles—Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services has
named Stephen Stein regional manager of the firm’s Los Angeles office.
Stein joined Marcus & Millichap’s Phoenix office in 1990 as an investment
specialist. He ranked among the firm’s Top 10 agents in 1991 and in 1994,
and became a senior associate in 1993. He received the senior investment
associate distinction in 1996 and was promoted to regional manager in
the firm’s Long Beach office in August of that year. In April 1999, Stein
became the regional manager of the Los Angeles office, and in April 2000,
was elected a first vice president of the firm. In June 2003, Stein rejoined
the sales force in Los Angeles. He was promoted to vice president investments in January 2008.

Los Angeles—Lowe Enterprises
has named Alex Virtue as a di-
rector of Lowe’s workout serv-
ices group. Virtue, a nine-year
veteran of Merrill Lynch & Co.,
will work with Lowe executives to
formulate and execute workout
strategies for troubled real estate
assets and loan/REO portfolios.
Lowe has worked on more than
$3 billion of distressed real es-
tate over the past 37 years. Previ-
ously, Virtue served as a director
with Merrill Lynch’s real estate
investment banking group,
working in both New York City
