opportunities and retail development. John Lee has joined Watt
Realty Advisors as vice president
with responsibility for office acquisitions. Prior to joining Watt,
Storm Industries Appoints
President of Real Estate Units
Torrance—Storm Industries Inc., a private diversified holding company with
interests in manufacturing and real estate, has promoted David Simard to
president of Storm Properties and Storm Western Development, business
units of Storm Industries that handle real estate development. In this post,
Simard will be responsible for supervising current industrial projects and
sourcing new acquisition and disposition opportunities. Storm is currently
completing the second phase of Storm Business Park, a 40-acre project in
Torrance, which will feature 10 industrial buildings
once completed. Simard has 16 years of experience
in the real estate industry. He recently led his team
through the sale of more than 550,000 square feet
of industrial real estate property for more than $54
million. Prior to joining Storm four years ago, Simard
served as project director of Midwest operations
for Velocitel Inc., and as a senior acquisition and
Simard zoning attorney for the Everest Group LLC.
he served as SVP and West Coast
acquisitions officer at Lowe Enterprises. Kenneth Hira brings
more than two decades of experience in the retail development
sector. Previously, he served as
an executive vice president for
the Irvine-based Pacific Century
Group.
