Rancho Cucamonga
Talent and Sites Just Right for the Choosing
With a solid understanding of the vast differences that exist with companies of all types, the City of Rancho Cucamonga’s Redevelopment
Agency has earned an unsurpassed reputation for teaming with the business community to help ensure the success of companies – from small
entrepreneurial start-ups to Fortune 500 leaders.
Highly-Skilled Labor Force – Blue, White and Green
Collars Abound in Rancho Cucamonga
To help employers alleviate their fear of encountering a talent shortage,
Rancho Cucamonga has taken action to help make certain that
businesses locating within the City have a well-matched local talent pool
from which to draw – now and in the future. With the addition of many
educational resources – local college and two university satellite
campuses – residents of, and employees in, the City have convenient
access for earning a wide array of degrees and certifications. In addition
to two- and four-year colleges, the internationally recognized Universal
Technical Institute turns out highly-skilled technicians who serve today’s
demanding and sophisticated automotive industry. These schools and
programs not only strengthen the skills of current employees; but they
also provide a training ground for future employees.
Located near several research-oriented colleges and universities, Rancho
Cucamonga stays ahead of the curve in many areas. For example,
sustainability is commonplace for a growing number of companies in the
City that have significant experience in designing and manufacturing a
variety of “green” products.
Of equal importance, as the result of a variety of economic and quality-of-life issues over the past ten years, Rancho Cucamonga has
experienced an influx of highly educated managerial and executive level
residents who want to work closer to where they live. In many cases,
these employees may be willing to work for up to 9% less than
employees in other areas in order to be closer to home.
Meeting Diverse Needs with All Sizes Office and
Warehouse/Manufacturing Space
Rancho Cucamonga offers a diverse selection of Class A office space for
lease and for sale, including some of the largest floorplates available in
the area ( 42,215 square feet). This fact makes it possible for companies
of all sizes to find a perfect fit for their unique needs. While there has
been a significant growth in Class A office space in Rancho Cucamonga,
the City has not dismissed its stellar reputation for being a major hub for
manufacturing/R&D, distribution, and logistical operations. The City’s
centralized location provides easy access to several major interstate
highways, an international airport and the busiest containerport in the
United States.
Rancho Cucamonga – A Business-Friendly Climate
To meet the needs of businesses and residents, the Rancho Cucamonga
Redevelopment Agency administers a variety of economic development,
redevelopment and housing-related programs. A sampling of these
programs and services include: “Rancho Advantage,” which provides
principal department representatives that can advise new companies
and business start-ups; services of a consulting electrical engineer to
streamline and reduce costs during the electrical certification process; a
Business Visitation Program, which brings together business owners and
Redevelopment staff to discuss business issues and opportunities; a
First-Time Homebuyer’s Program to assist employees with purchasing
homes in the City; award-winning e-mail and print publications
(Fast Track, Opportunities and Visions) to keep business executives in the
loop on business-related activities; and Inside Rancho
( www.InsideRancho.com), a GIS-based property site selection tool.
